Later, dude…

There is no better reminder of one’s mortality than the sudden death of somebody close to you…

Police rang up this morning to inform us of the death of one of my teammates. Our whole team was pretty much shocked when we heard the news. Having worked quite closely with him over the past month (we were paired up on the same task) and spending much time getting to know him in a social context, his passing is something that is very difficult for me to deal with.

Dude, you’ve been a blast to work with, and who can forget your DDR madskillz? It’s sad to see you go at such a young age, and you’ll be missed by all of us from your team and lunch group. My thoughts and sympathies go to your family and friends during this difficult time.
