Food Review: Kingsleys
While I’m on a roll, I’ll talk about the time we went to Kingsleys. Kingsleys is a restaurant renowned for its steaks. Its meat has won competitions from like the Easter show and places like that; so you can guess that the meat would be very expensive, but very very nice. Now there are a few Kingsleys restaurants in Sydney CBD, but we decided to go to the King St. Wharf one. Perhaps there would be a nicer view with some more seafood choices for those of us who were not as carnivorous as the others.
Food: 8/10 The meat was certainly very good, and if that’s what you want, then I think you’ll be very happy. It was served rather plainly though with potato and some vegies. I had the fillet mignon with some yummy garlic butter.
Atmosphere: 7/10 Very corporate! This is the kind of place you want to take your clients to impress them. Especially if they are men! Not my kind of place…
Service: 6/10 They were appropriately welcoming towards us, but still I felt out of place…
Cost: 5/10 Very expensive and you get pretty much what you ordered. If you ordered 400g, you get 400g and not much else. But I guess if you want very high quality rather than quantity, this is the place for you.
ooh! I’ve been here twice (once in syd with work and once in bris with work) and both times I’ve really liked it! I think I went for some steak both times and turned out really well! if you like it I reckon you should try meat & wine - fairly similar (pricing and quality) but also quite good. Must say though, if you do try meat & wine, give the ribs a go =)
Haha, I remember stuffing my face with that steak - it was tasty and I happened to be really hungry. I wished it was bigger though. Would I be able to get photos from the night? Thanks
Sure, I’ll put up some of the photos

There’s some photos that I took pre/post-dinner up in the gallery already, as well as a photo of my mains, if you want to take a look
